Nadja Swarovski

Chair, Swarovski Foundation

Nadja was the first female member of the Executive Board of Swarovski. With a mission to bring Swarovski to the forefront of the fashion industry and elevate the brand, she led the Branding, Communications and Licensing divisions and launched the luxury fashion jewelry brand Atelier Swarovski, using Fairtrade gold and created diamonds to emphasise conscious luxury. She set up the Sustainability department in 2012, overseeing Swarovski’s ESG initiatives while aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Nadja is Chair of the Swarovski Foundation, which she established in 2013 to foster culture and creativity, promote human empowerment and preserve the environment. She also heads up the Swarovski Waterschool, which works in six continents teaching youth about water conservation. 

Nadja’s collaborations with luminaries from the worlds of fashion, jewelry, architecture, design, film and music established her as one of the 21st century’s major patrons of creative talent. In 2016 she was made Chevalier de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and in 2019 she received an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts London. Nadja is President of the German Fashion Council and holds Board positions at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and FIT Foundation. She is Founding Patron of the London School of Architecture; a member of The Nature Conservancy’s European Council for Global Conservation; and a member of the Advisory Board at luxury ethical fashion business Maison de Mode; and at Nest, a nonprofit that supports women in the handworker economy.

 

Seema Hingorani

Managing Director Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Founder and Chair of Girls Who Invest

Seema R. Hingorani is the Founder and Chair of Girls Who Invest, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in the asset management industry. Seema is also a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM). As part of the MSIM senior leadership team, Seema is focused on strategic client relationships, investment talent development and diversity initiatives across the platform. She is also Senior Sponsor of MSIM’s Diversity Council and a member of Morgan Stanley’s Diversity and Inclusion Senior Leaders Advisory Council. Seema joined Morgan Stanley in 2019 and has 25 years of investment experience. 

Previously, Seema was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SevenStep Capital, an opportunistic investment platform focused on seeding women portfolio managers. Seema served until June 30, 2014 as Chief Investment Officer for the New York City Retirement Systems, which had assets of $160 billion. Previous to this appointment, Seema was Interim Chief Investment Officer and, before that, Head of Public Equities & Hedge Funds for the pension funds. Under her leadership, the pension fund was named Hedge Fund Manager of the Year - Large Public Pension Plans by Institutional Investor. Prior to Seema’s four years of public sector experience, she served as Global Director of Fundamental Research at Pyramis Global Advisors; a Partner, Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst with hedge fund Andor Capital Management; a Partner and Senior Equity Analyst at hedge fund Pequot Capital Management; Co-founder of hedge fund Mirador Capital Management; and an Equity Analyst with T. Rowe Price. 

Seema has worked with several organizations focused on issues concerning women and girls and is a prolific speaker on the topic of a more robust inclusion of women in the corporate sector. She was awarded in 2021 by France with the insignia of Chevalier of the National Order of the Legion of Honor. She was also recognized in 2021 by Barron’s as one of 100 most influential women in U.S. finance, honored as the 2019 Bloomberg 50 “Ones To Watch”, the 2016 Woman with Impact by the Connecticut Women's Business Development Council, and Wall Street Women Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 by Traders magazine. Seema served as a member of the National Finance Committee of Secretary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign. She is an active member of The Economic Club of New York and 100 Women in Finance.

Seema earned a B.A. in psychology/philosophy from Yale College and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Susie Mulder

Global Brand President, Timberland

Susie Mulder is a sports enthusiast. The proud mother of three. A Montreal native who migrated ‘south’ to Boston and sorely misses poutine.

She is also global president of outdoor and work-inspired lifestyle brand, Timberland. At the helm of this nearly $2 billion brand, Susie puts her skills to work driving sustainable, long-term business growth while championing the brand’s vision of a more equitable and green future. 

 Before Timberland, Susie served as CEO for apparel brand NIC+ZOE and was a partner at McKinsey & Company. She sits on the Boards of Kraft Heinz and Sally Beauty and is a member of the Philanthropic Board of Advisors for Boston Children’s Hospital. Susie graduated from McGill University and, as you likely know, holds an MBA with distinction from HBS.

Susie is a strong and passionate leader who, like Timberland, is on a mission to move the world forward.  Her mantra: “Never stop learning, never stop laughing, and bring your whole self to work, every day.”

 

Penny Pennington

Managing Partner of Edward Jones

Penny Pennington is the managing partner of Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 financial services firm. As sixth managing partner in the firm's 99-year history, Penny is responsible for the firm's strategic direction, working together with more than 49,000 associates across North America to make a positive impact in the lives of Edward Jones' clients, colleagues and communities. She was recently named No. 34 in her third appearance on the Fortune Most Powerful Women in Business list.

Penny began her Edward Jones career in 2000 as a financial advisor in Livonia, Mich. In 2006, she was named a principal and relocated to the firm’s St. Louis headquarters where she held various leadership roles.

Penny earned a bachelor's degree in commerce with a concentration in finance from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a graduate of Wharton’s Securities Industry Institute and is a CFA® charterholder.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Penny now calls St. Louis home after relocating from Michigan 14 years ago with her husband, Mike Fidler, and two children. She is an active member of the St. Louis community, serving on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Washington University in St. Louis Board of Trustees, the Whitaker Foundation and Executive Committee of the Chair's Council for Greater St. Louis, Inc. Penny also actively champions Edward Jones' national presenting sponsorship with the Alzheimer's Association.

 

Michelle Zatlyn

Co-founder and COO of Cloudflare 

Michelle Zatlyn is Co-founder and COO of Cloudflare, a leading Internet security, performance, and reliability company. Cloudfare was named to CNBC’s Disruptor 50 List, selected by the Wall Street Journal as the Most Innovative Internet Technology Company for two successive years, and named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.

Before co-founding Cloudflare, Michelle held positions at Google and Toshiba and launched two successful startups. She holds a BS degree, with distinction, from McGill University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was awarded the Dubliner Prize for Entrepreneurship. Michelle has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, one of the Top 15 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc. magazine, and a 40 Under 40 leader by San Francisco Business Times. 

In addition to being on the board of directors at CloudFlare, Michelle sits on the Open Internet Advisory Committee for the FCC, the NextGen Advisory Board for the Computer History Museum, and has been nominated to the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program.

 

Vicky Tsai

Founder of Tatcha and Board Member of Room to Read

Vicky Tsai is the founder of Tatcha, a modern skincare brand rooted in timeless Japanese beauty rituals. She started the line in 2009 and by 2015, her company ranked at No. 21 on the Inc. list of fastest-growing private U.S. companies. 

Tsai's cultural background and the subtle biases she faced growing up are key to her journey as an entrepreneur. Unilever purchased Tatcha in 2019 for an estimated $500 million, and Tsai stepped down as CEO shortly thereafter. She recently returned and is leading the company she created.
