WELCOME TO THE
Women’s Student Association
A Student club at harvard business school
About Us
We are proud to be the premier student-led organization for women in business, with a mission to connect, empower, and celebrate the next generation of women leaders. We hope to foster a tightknit community, support our members in their career aspirations, and advocate for greater representation at HBS and in the broader business world.
Our Mission
As the largest student organization on campus, our role is to ensure the women in our campus community have the resources and allies they need to thrive, both as HBS students and as future leaders. In the 2025-2026 academic year, we hope to continue the WSA tradition of providing a distinctive experience to each of our student and alumnae members.
Our Programs
We have an incredible list of sponsors who, through their funding and support, help us deliver extensive programming for all members
Some of the highlights of our club include:
Annual Women in Business Conference
Every year, the WSA hosts the annual Women in Business Conference in February, attracting approximately 1,000 attendees. As one of HBS’ largest student-run events, the conference aims to inspire the next generation of leaders by inviting inspirational women to share their valuable life experiences and lessons with its participants. It offers HBS students and the greater Boston community a unique opportunity to learn from and connect with powerful leaders with storied careers in every industry.
Career Development
The WSA hosts career development events throughout the year, including career fairs, “Women in Leadership” Fireside Chats, and quarterly speaker panels during which HBS Women get the opportunity to hear from female leaders such as former CEOs Indra Nooyi (PepsiCo) and Gina Rometty (IBM).
REPRESENTATION
The WSA works extensively with our campus partners to ensure all students have a positive experience on the HBS campus. We lead initiatives in Equity Research, Allyship, Sexual Assault Prevention, Diversity & Inclusion, and a new initiative to increase female case protagonist representation. In addition, our network of Women’s Reps helps provides the encouragement, structure, and support to leaders within each section to facilitate frank and open discussions on a variety of issues related to women in the workplace.
Alumnae Engagement
The WSA works closely with its alumnae board to provide continuity in the HBS community of women and provide students the resources they need to succeed at HBS and beyond. We host tri-annual meetings with our alumnae board, a mentorship program, and a summer series in over 8 cities to connect alumnae with current and incoming students.
